libjai-core-java software package provides Java Advanced Imaging API reference implementation, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjai-core-java
libjai-core-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjai-core-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjai-core-java *
You will get with libjai-core-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
